Educational Projects

PPF Group supports university education for students in Russia through Home Credit & Finance Bank, its subsidiary and one of Russia’s largest banks. It launched a unique project to support university education for talented children from socially disadvantaged families in 2009. Known as Sinyaya Ptitsa (The Blue Bird) after a popular theatre piece about the pursuit of happiness, the pilot project is underway in the cities of Murmansk, Kaluga and Sverdlovsk. Activity is gradually expanding to other areas all over Russia (Volgograd, Altay, Bashkortostan, Karelia and the Leningrad Region).

The goal of the project is to give talented young people from socially underprivileged families not just the funds – scholarships to study at prestigious universities – but also offer them personal development courses, opportunities for internships at local HCFB branches, and material gifts (books, study materials etc.). Through this program, HCFB provides grant money to dozens of students throughout their university studies.
