Alexej Bechtin appointed PPF Spokesperson
Alexej Bechtin (46) is appointed a new spokesperson with the Czech financial group PPF, as of September 1, 2007. Prior to this position, he was a Press Spokesperson and External Communication Manager in Plzensky Prazdroj, a major Czech brewing company.
Bechtin graduated from the Faculty of Journalism at Prague Charles University, and the Faculty of Journalism at Moscow State University. He worked as journalist and interpreter. Since mid-90s Bechtin develops his career in the area of Public Relations and communication. First with the Czech-Belgian PR agency Interel, then in Czech subsidiaries of leading multinational companies. In 2000-2001 he worked for Philips Morris ČR communication department, since 2002 moving to Plzensky Prazdroj. In 2006-2007 he was seconded to Slovakia, working as Corporate Communication Manager with Plzensky Prazdroj’s sister brewing company, Pivovary Topvar.
Alexej Bechtin is married, has one daughter. He speaks Czech, Slovak, Russian, English and Spanish.
